The price was really good, but what I wanted most was the air piston lift for the top. It works great. I have pets and grand kids. I wanted a coffee table that I can just tuck away the mail and few little things that end up on a coffee table. (The cat loves to knock everything to the floor, and any paper my grandkids see becomes Art). BUT... I know most regular mechanisms and spring assist tops end up causing pinched fingers and stuck tails. This table may not be the best on the market, but it works Great for what I need!! The low price was just a plus.Very nice table once it is up. The instructions for building are HORRIBLE!!! Out of order so had to keep redoing steps took like 3 hrs to put together. Very frustrating but once together I love it!!!My dog has been struggling with separation anxiety and is impossible to keep in a kennel because of it. She had been getting into everything when we were away. This was the PERFECT solution for our livingroom. It looks good. It was realitivly simple to assemble. It keeps all the stuffs away from our panicked terror of a dogs. Everyone is happy.I like that the table is sturdy and the storage and size are great ... The cons of it are the call it grey and it is actually a brown with a few greyish highlights in it , not the color shown on the website for it . The instructions for assembly are very clear took a couple of tries to get the lift up top and sliding side in correctly (trial and error ) ,, But overall a nice piece of furniture will see how it holds up to everyday usageThe instructions are not very detailed. You could miss something small and have to go back 3 steps to fix a mistake. Some of the holes were not correctly drilled. And I have to fix a gap on the one side from the top being reversed. A lot of little screws. I like the idea but supporting instructions are no good.This coffee table is perfect! The would is solid and the functionality of the table is awesome!! The thing i dont like are the instructions, it was a little confusing and took a while to get things right, but it was well worth the hassle of assembling! No regrets!! I love it.This looks really nice, and works well for smaller areas. I love the storage it’s given, and that my granddaughter can’t easily open them. But the hinges are stiff and require 2 hands to open and close. The assembly was a nightmare! The book doesn’t show that the hinges for the side opening part are supposed to be separated and I only learned of it after finding an assembly video on YouTube. Had it not been for that video I would probably still be trying to figure that out the nextMorning.It's probably easy to assemble but that was my only thing is I just can't put things together lol
